Idaho Central Credit Union was organized as a state chartered Credit Union on
June 28, 1940 in Boise, Idaho to serve the financial needs of the officers of
other credit unions operating in the State of Idaho. (At the time of
organization, officers could not belong to the Credit Union where they
worked.)
Idaho Central Credit Union continues to be state chartered,
which means our governing agency is the Idaho Department of Finance. The federal government can also regulate some of our activities, because we
offer federal insurance on our member's deposits through NCUSIF.
