An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. Idaho Central can cover your overdrafts in two different ways. We have standard overdraft protection that comes with your account. We also offer additional overdraft protection, such as a link to a savings account or line of credit, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft protection.

There is no cost to opt-in for additional overdraft protection. When you open your checking account with Idaho Central, you will be asked if you want ICCU to authorize and pay overdrafts on your ATM and everyday debit card transactions.
