With Earth Day on April 22, many people wonder how they can live more “green”. At Idaho Central Credit Union, we love the color GREEN, from what we wear to how we do things! Here are some things we do to stay green!
Documents
Offer electronic applications, documents, statements, and signing, which saves on paper.
Lighting
Install LED lights for ATMs, night drops, new facilities, and when upgrading existing facilities.
Energy
Control power for best usage with Variable Frequency & Adjustable Speed Drives (VFDs) and high-efficiency HVAC systems. Install high value insulation in buildings and use roofs that reflect heat when possible.
Water
Prevent off-site runoff and responsibly manage storm water management during and after construction.
Recycle
Donate old electronic equipment and computers to local schools and organizations. Use recyclable materials and recycled flooring in construction where reasonable. Recycle paper, cardboard, and construction waste to extent possible.
