Fraud Alert for Business
At ICCU, your security is our top priority. As online threats continue to evolve, we encourage all members to take extra precaution when managing your digital accounts and financial services. Recently, there has been an increase in scams where criminals have posed as representatives of trusted organizations, including ICCU. We are here to keep you safe and want to remind you of what you can do to protect yourself and your business.
Protect Your Accounts with Dual Control
When possible, use dual control or multi-person authentication for high-risk transactions, especially within business accounts. This added layer of verification helps prevent unauthorized access and keeps your financial information safe.
Verify Before You Interact
Always take a moment to verify the identity of anyone contacting you, whether they claim to be a vendor, service provider, or online support representative. Fraudsters often impersonate trusted organizations to obtain sensitive information.
Never Share Sensitive Information
For your security, do not provide the following details to anyone contacting you unexpectedly by phone, email, or text:
- ACH routing or transit numbers
- Business account numbers
- Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) codes
- Online banking usernames or passwords
ICCU will never ask you for an MFA code or your full account information through unsolicited communication. If you ever receive a suspicious message or call, please contact us directly using the phone number on our website or visit your nearest branch. Your vigilance plays a crucial role in keeping your accounts protected.
