Idaho Central is excited to announce that we now offer Apple Pay. We are the first Idaho-based financial services company and one of the first nine credit unions in the U.S. to offer this new, secure payment method. Now ICCU members can use Apple Pay to make purchases with your iPhone 6 and other approved Apple devices. It’s easy! Apple Pay provides a more secure method of making transactions where your credit and debit card numbers are never shared with the merchant.

Idaho Central and Apple Pay let you make purchases using iPhone 6 at hundreds of thousands of stores and participating apps where you can pay with a single touch. You simply need to add your eligible Idaho Central Visa Card to Apple Pay. Then, pay for purchases by holding your iPhone 6 near a contactless reader with your finger on TouchID. No need to open an app or even wake your phone. Apple Pay on iPhone 6 combines the latest security technology from Apple and Visa. Every transaction is authorized with TouchID or your passcode.

To add your ICCU Debit or Credit card, you’ll need an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.1 or later. Open the Passbook app, swipe down and tap the plus sign. Enter your card information manually, or use the camera feature to take a picture of your card. Verify the number in Apple Pay matches the number on your card. Please note: the default card image may differ from your actual card. To make your ICCU card your default card, go to Settings on your device, select Passbook & Apple Pay, and then Default Card.

To use Apple Pay, look for the Apple Pay icon at checkout. Then place your device near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID and for the subtle vibration and beep that lets you know payment is received.
